Practice and competition for the Athena volleyball team will be held at the Linde Activities Center on the campus of Harvey Mudd College. Competition for both basketball teams will be at Pomona College’s Rains Athletic Center while practices will be held at both Rains and Linde.

Offices and facilities for CMS Athletics, its coaches and staff during the construction are located in the Center Court modulars (Units D, F, and C-Admin. Offices) on the old tennis courts north of Axelrood Pool.

During the construction of Roberts Pavilion, the Fitness Center will be housed in the Frazee Community Room, which is located in the Emett Student Center, next to The Hub. The Weight Room will be located in a temporary facility, a tent adjacent to Pritzlaff Field.

No, the construction of Roberts Pavilion will not affect activities on Zinda Field although the normal traffic patterns in and out of the stadium will be changed as the construction site will close the east/west routes through Ducey and the South parking lot. Access from the apartments will not change, but from the west side of campus, pathways north of the old tennis courts will be the route.

We expect to be able to continue pool use during the academic year, but it is unclear whether the early phase of construction (Summer 2014) will require the pool to be closed.

Roberts Pavilion not only benefits CMS Athletics and its student-athletes but the Claremont McKenna College community as a whole. The Pavilion will serve as a fitness and events center for CMC in addition to being the athletic center for Claremont-Mudd-Scripps’ intercollegiate, intramural, and physical education programs.
